Alphabet Tracing – QLD Beginner

Writeboards® has collaborated with Occupational Therapists to create QLD Beginner Font alphabet tracing worksheets designed to support early handwriting development.

This structured learning system helps children understand exactly where each letter starts, sits and finishes using a clear visual method.

Instead of traditional plain lines, these worksheets use the Sky, Grass and Dirt approach:

• Sky: Tall letters that extend upward (e.g., b).
• Grass: The baseline where most letters sit.
• Dirt: Letters that drop below the line (e.g., p).

This visual method helps children quickly understand correct letter placement and improves handwriting confidence. Once mastered, transitioning to standard lined paper is much easier.
