Australian Handwriting
Discover the official handwriting styles taught in Australian schools. Learn which style your child needs and how Writeboards makes learning fun, effective, and eco-friendly.
Why Styles Matter
- Letters differ across states in shape and slant.
- Each style has an official Department-approved name.
Even trained teachers sometimes miss these differences. Parents need reliable guidance.

Which Style Does Your Child Need?
- Some sellers use correct names like NSW Foundation or VIC Modern Cursive.
- Many use look-alike fonts that do not meet Department standards.
Four "NSW Foundation" fonts sold locally — only one is authentic.
- Three are fake look-alikes.
- Even small differences in letters affect learning.
This happens across all states, confusing parents and teachers with incorrect materials.
